I am trying to install Roxio EMC 7.0 on a clean install of Vista beta 2. Napster (which is part of the install that you can't opt out) states it requires WMP 7.0 or higher and blocks the entire installation. Does anyone know a work around?

Roxio 7.0 installation problem
I thought you could uncheck Napster before installing. No?

Just do a custom install and block Napster.

I did a Custom Install - got to the screen about Napster and clicked NEXT, or closed it, I forgot. I got to a screen that said something about ''non-compatibility'' - clicked next/or closed and finally got the program installed. I put a CD into the drive and it won't eject, or write to it - says the recorder is busy and to try again later. So, I have the program installed, BUT - it is useless, at least the "drag to disk" . Such is life in Betaville.

Couldn't find any option for Napster in the custom install screen. Hope this gets through since IE7 is reporting this an a Phishing site.

I have read at a couple of web sites that EMC 7.5 runs okay and I do have the upgrade but need to get EMC installed first to do the upgrade.

It doesn't block the site if you choose to proceed anyway.
